While drinking tirtha

Recite this single shloka the moment before you sip tirtha — the consecrated water served after puja or arati. The verse calls the water 'devapaadodakam,' meaning water from the feet of the deity, and makes three specific claims for it: it prevents untimely death, wards off every disease, and washes away all sins. It is the standard line used across Hindu households and temples when charanamrita is placed in the right palm. One couplet, said once, before the water touches your lips.
