A single shloka from the closing section of the Vishnu Sahasranama, where Shiva tells Parvati that chanting "Rama" three times equals reciting Vishnu's thousand names. The address "varanane" — O fair-faced one — marks Parvati as the listener. Shiva speaks as a devotee: the name turns over in his mind on its own, and he offers it to her as a shortcut to the full thousand-name recitation. Devotees often repeat this verse 108 times on tulsi beads when they cannot chant the entire Sahasranama.
